Vectalys, Your Gene Transfer Partner

Project audit & Protocol design

Project audit

Virus based technology offers very attractive advantages including:

  • High efficacy in terms of cell penetration, no matter the type of cell (primary cells, mammalian cells, dividing or not, etc…).
  • High stability of expression for the transfected gene thanks to its integration into cell genome. Non viral technology have very low efficacy in terms of gene expression (less than 50%) where we reach 100%
  • Deliver multiple genes to the same cells for the development of high-content cell-based assays
    Tool for drug screening

Vectalys can advise you in the choice of the best way to construct your cell or animal models and also to make your project quickly successful.

Protocole design

Thanks to its large expertise in this field, Vectalys offers to provide you the best protocol to be used for your gene transfer specific project in terms of :

  • cell preparation,
  • vector design
  • cell transduction and analysis

Our scientific team accompanies you during the whole project in order to save you time and money: Vectalys offers a totally custom service, works as a real partner by bringing added value in terms of project management, scientific design, project follow-up and quality of results.

However, the implication of Vectalys is totally customed. If you need a simple virus production, Vectalys would provide it to you, committed on the best quality product with a reliable titer.
Vectalys can also be a partner to work side by side with, if you prefer to keep most part of the project internally.

Expression validation

After transduction by viral vector, once your stable cell line is established, we can also take in charge cell characterization. For example, we can validate the interfering effect of a shRNA by using real-time RT- PCR to evaluation under or over-expression of the gene of interest. One other specific validation is the measure of viral or cDNA copy number in the transduced cells to attest efficient cell transduction by the gene or the sequence of interest.
